Whether you are facing a major life transition, personal conflict, or just feel stuck in your current situation, counseling can help you to heal and move forward. It can seem there is a never-ending cycle of shoulds that can leave you stuck in a state of shame and guilt. "I should be over this...I should treat my partner better...my children should be better behaved...I should be further in my life." Maybe you feel like you "should" be able to handle things on your own but the truth is, you don't have to.  I value the uniqueness of each of my clients; focusing on their strengths to help them to navigate their struggles.  My hope is that each of my clients can find their best self, work toward how they want things to be and leave the shoulds behind. <3 Melissa

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.

In-office & Telehealth

The ability to participate in counseling via telehealth can be beneficial for clients who prefer the comfort or flexibility to attend sessions from work or home. It has also been helpful for those who have barriers to services due to transportation or location. Additionally, having the ability to recruit outside of our geographical area allows us to hire a more diverse team of qualified clinicians. We currently have 7 counselors working out of our Algonquin office and the remaining members of our team are telehealth only. If you have not considered telehealth as an option, I encourage you to try it out and see if this may be a good fit for you.

Do you ever feel like your anxiety is trying to tell you something? Rather than ignore these feelings, Dr. Jennifer L. Fee tells us we should embrace anxiety and listen to what message it has to share.
