I am a licensed professional counselor with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and a doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision. My counseling experience has primarily been with adults and college students in the LGBTQ+ communities and includes career development work, mental wellness work focusing on symptoms of depression, anxiety, disordered eating, trauma, adjustment issues, identity development, and grief, loss, and life transitions. Each client is unique in background, culture, and life experience and so too, are the interventions and approaches designed to assist.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process that begins with creating a safe and welcoming place in which you feel comfortable discussing sensitive topics and where you know you will not be judged. I will bring warmth, openness, generosity, trust, and compassion to our sessions and I hope you will bring a willingness to trust the process and to share your struggles and life experiences with me.
Over time, counseling can help you realize that you have everything you need inside of you to make the changes you see need to be made. Despite having our own internal power to meet our objectives, we sometimes need external facilitation, support, listening, and care, in order to bring out our inherent motivations. My personal objective is to empower you to move through or around any obstacle that blocks your path to greatness and help you to discover the tools that will best assist you to accomplish your goals.
I see clients online through our HIPAA compliant Telehealth platform. To schedule with me or to learn more about my services please complete the inquiry formand our Intake Coordinator will get back to you shortly.
